A1 Methodology FrameworkAs Methodology House we offer custom made 21st century business and project practices that truly add value to our Partners and Clients. All our practices place people and business at the centre. This is a major difference from conventional practices as used by traditional consulting firms.

To date Align’s practices have been introduced to over 1,500 people in more than 10 countries in Asia and Europe in Business, Operations and ICT environments, and have been adopted by multinational and international Clients and Partners as their company-wide standard.

All our practices follow the principles of Natural Business Excellence™, which places the people and business elements at the centre and includes a comprehensive best practice approach. For this we work closely together with the Institute of Natural Business Excellence.

One of the applications developed by Align is the A1 Methodology Framework, which is powered by Natural Business Excellence™. It is used for the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). A1 refers to the ‘first time right’ principle, and sees to it that every project activity is executed at the right time, in the right manner and by the right people such that nothing is forgotten and no surprises occur throughout the project. Typically this is seen as a major challenge in the implementation of ERP.

Independent research executed in Europe has confirmed that A1 is truly unique and the best available in the current market environment for implementing Enterprise Resource Planning. A1 has already been applied to a multitude of ERP implementations, from large to very small, and has proven its consistent value.



The value of A1 is stressed by the Managing Director of a large Consulting Firm that has adopted the methodology for its SAP and Oracle projects, who states:
  • The methodology helps us to deliver all aspects of the project in a high-quality manner. Project risks are optimally controlled. Change management, scope management, BPR, issue management, change request management are all integrated. Overall the quality is much better than we have ever had before
  • There is an excellent translation from the business to the ERP system, including the integration aspects. The structured approach helps our consultants to assess localizations upfront and to stick to standard system usage as much as possible. This benefits both the projects and our Clients
  • The Client and our consultants really work together. Our Clients also understand much better what our consultants are doing.   • The methodology is not difficult. It has been thought through very well. It surprisingly also doesn’t result in more time to deliver the project. Initially we were afraid of this, but that fear has totally disappeared
  • Align’s Business and Project practices are offered on a license basis. Under specific conditions other bases can be discussed.
