Play it Sam. Play "As Time Goes By"
The story of Align is intertwined with celluloid and passion for film-making from a young age. Drawn by the capacity of film to tell tales of love and triumph, joy and despair, and ultimately at its core describe and potentially define the human experience.
Align was launched in 2019 by Adrian Politowski and Nadia Khamlichi. They have been collaborating since 2004, initially establishing Umedia that grew to become one of Europe’s largest financing and production groups. Today Umedia and its 200-person organization focus on financing, production (including physical production) and VFX and board 50+ TV and features a year. To date, the group has raised and financed $600M+ worth of content and co-produced over 450 films while its VFX division has grown to be the largest in Benelux.
In 2019, Adrian stepped down as CEO of Umedia, though remains as Chairman, to solely focus on running Align. Nadia remains as CEO of Umedia and is Chairwoman of Align. Adrian and Nadia brought along with them a handful of key executives from Umedia to help launch Align, including Martin Metz, Nessa McGill and Sierra Garcia.
