How we lend
Collateral first
Every loan is secured against collateral we can identify and value before we commit: tax incentives certified by governments, and distribution contracts signed with established distributors and studios.
Short duration
Loans are advanced at the start of production and repaid within about 12 to 18 months, typically before the film is released. Repayment comes from contracted cash flows rather than box office performance.
Managed production risk
Every production we finance is completion bonded and insured. A completion bond is a guarantee from a specialist insurer that the film will be finished and delivered. If it is not, the guarantor completes the film or repays the financiers.
