Align itself was founded in 2018 with mission to transform Media  Finance from a niche into an instituional-grade asset class.

Our goal is to enable our investors to access a €10Bn+ entertainment finance market that is uncorrelated to traditional asset classes.

Across different strategies and market cycles, our investment approach has been guided by key core principles:​

• Protect the Downside:  Every investment is structured to preserve capital, through rigorous risk controls and strong legal protections.

• Decouple from Box Office Performance: Returns are driven by contractual cash flows, not speculative outcomes.

• Capture the Upside : When projects succeed, we participate through structured equity kickers or backend participation.

These principles have been the throughline of our work in media financing for over 21 years and remain at the heart of Align’s strategy today.
